I AM ED OFF. Every article I’ve read since this began has OUSTED organic growers.

Local Growers, Beware
E-mails obtained from Cornell Cooperative Extension show that the first reporting of late blight in the area was from a commercial grower on June 23. McGrath doesn’t believe the grower was close enough to Ellos to have caught late blight from his plant, but admits that it could be possible. Since June 23, she reports that a dozen cases - six commercial farmers and six home growers - have been confirmed in the area. Farmers have sprayed more than usual to combat the highly contagious disease that becomes more dangerous during cloudy, damp days, which have been no stranger as of late.
McGrath warns that home growers are at risk more than the commercial grower because of the difference in fungicides available to them, and overall knowledge about the disease. She likens the difference in chemicals available to an over-the-counter medicine and a prescribed medicine, as commercial farmers have licenses allowing for more potent products. But application of over the counter” sprays, vigilant observance, and proper disposal of infected plants should work for home gardens, she said. Clipping leaves and stems on the bottom of plants helps prevent obtaining late blight, as rain drops often bounce off the ground and wet the plant, making it more susceptible to attracting infected spores.

A report from Alabama in mid-May stated that they were having their worst tomato blight year since 1995. In Maine, it is crystal-clear that all of the infected tomatoes discovered June 24-26th in big chain stores from the southern coast to the northern tip of the state were part of a Bonnie shipment made a week earlier. Every store receiving the shipment had infected plants whoile tomatoes from other sources were free of symtoms. Despite much scouting by Extension and the potato industry, no blight had been discovered in the state previously. A major blight problem has since developed in gardens and small farms for miles around the source greenhouse.

This has a failure …
This has a failure ring to it. Just the other day I learned about something new (to me anyway), but was set in motion a while back. Search here on “YouTube” for “Codex Alimentarius 1 of 4″ and learn about something I bet you didn’t hear about on our wonderful corporate owned media!
Monsanto at it’s …
Monsanto at it’s finest: billions of dollars invested in destroying local infra-structure, self-sufficiency, while poisoning entire eco-systems in the process. And stocks are surging in the commodity markets! Some recovery, heh? Privatization of seeds and water. The air we breathe, is next. The swine-flu outbreak would have never happened without MASSIVE commercial hog-farming, oh, but guess what, they have a cure now
Well this just …
Well this just furthers their strategy to outlaw small farm growers and home gardens which is what they really want to do it make it against the law to grow our own non modified vegies!!! this is an outrage and I know well it is not coming from the small home gardener nor the small family farmers either My grandmother grew organic and we never had problems until the commercial farmers came in and gobbled up as many small farms as they could! the wipes!! this es me off too!
i dont use anything …
i dont use anything on my garden no chemicals at all in the fall i open my garden to the horses and thats what takes care of my garden and thats all i do
yes same here, the …
yes same here, the worst season for growing certain plants..my peppers are still quite small and the fairytale eggplant is just starting to flower now.. im not even looking to point fingers because I know the weather played a major role in this..but these people need to stop sending a message that it is our fault for the blight spreading.
had to destroy our …
whole lot had to go!
had to destroy our tomatoes too here in the uk. blight turned up a month early.
ive had problems …

Monsanto Pawns!!! …
Monsanto Pawns!!! And chemtrail agents!!
Thanks VB.
That …
Thanks VB.
That is pure absurdity that it came from organic gardening. If so, then it’s not from organic gardening, it’s from some other they are putting in the air. Probably all the chemicals in the water, evaporating, then falls on the plants when it rains and it cruds the plants. Jerks. They are taking everything that’s good for us.
was able to save 20 …
was able to save 20 heirloom cherry tomatoes. letting them finish ripening on the window sill. gonna use them for seed for next year. Willing to trade some for some tomato seed.
I hear ya, and …
I hear ya, and people aren’t going to spend the time to self educate about all these products or GMOs. Funny, I had more snakes this year then ever before..frogs are everywhere, the dragonflies are just all over the place as well..good for me they eat mosquitoes..but I read they signify a climate change.I can tell the Doe are hungry, they have been foraging in my yard in mid day, not like them to do this. There must be a lack of food out back for them.
My squash is great, …
My squash is great, but not in a greenhouse..next year Im changing the plan based on my experience this year..I saw that article from the Maine newspaper..it’s hilarious..the thought people will riot TO RECEIVE the vaccine LOL!! Kiss my ! they can keep it lol
I read an article …
I read an article where Obama talks about treating the skies with aerosol..to “cool” down the planet -has he lost his flipping mind? the problem this season was cold and wet, why in the would we want more of this!
Same here, pumpkins …
Same here, pumpkins small but now taking off a bit, potatoes pulled out early from the blight, so they were small too..my Romas were also like grape tomatoes, peppers small still, everything else is great, summer squash, beans, greens, herbs, corn is okay..going to check the carrots today to see the progress. Not long ago farmers also lost their strawberries, rotted on the vines..lot of gray and rain this season, there was also more trails in our skies as well.
hey how is your …
hey how is your corn doing? mine just started coming up not long ago, real slow here..but I just noticed that birds might have gotten to a few.
That is sad
I …
I did get a ton of potatoes picked before this happened, soon as I saw the blight pulled them out right away..lot of small spuds but they are still on the counter and no problems, yummy home fries
unfortunately I cant save any seed potatoes
That is sad
same here, exactly …
same here, exactly 3-4 weeks ago, started showing slowly, i contained it pretty well by stripping the effected leaves everyday, but then the 2 day rains came and the blight covered to many leaves in just one night for me to strip them down.I have tomatoes in a hanging planter with not one speck, its not far from the raised bed not sure how that happened.Next year Im doing all planters separated from one another and filling the beds with other stuff.
it is like …
it is like superfungus , like what you get when they use anti biotics and finally get super germs , now they have to use something much more aggressive to get rid of it ,
i won’t be surprised if the fungus was made by Monsanto to get rid of competition from organic farmers and also be able to sell their special engineered fungicide to get rid of it on their commercial farms
Oh dear hun, you’se …
Oh dear hun, you’se innate mobster temperament shines through LOL!!
yep your right… …
yep your right… those folks who wrote that are all backwards…
Try not to fret …
Try not to fret babe. These commercial growers are bought and paid for like the media. -on-em! I’m sorry to hear that you had a bad crop this year, but it does happen. My brother in the Carolina’s had a massive organic tomato crop this year that turned out very well. I would think that the different climate is a factor.
my tomatoes have …
my tomatoes have been looking sickly too, they were doing great up till about 3 weeks ago
I have lost all my …
I have lost all my Heirloom tomatoes and all my potato plants.
In the end, Lies …
In the end, Lies will be truth, Evil will be good and reason will be insanity.
You know that the …
You know that the people who control the media get more money from Monsanto, etc. Of course they are going to help monsanto’s objectives. Monsanto et all has declared war on organic & the small farmers to cause widespread famine just as in India & Zimbabwe. In order to be successful here they have to eliminate the small & organic farmers. Ie. The Food Safety act. in congress & the media blitz that organic is bad. Organic farming will become the new crime like “growing pot.”
